The creative influence of LENZANITA Couture and Dakota by Design USA is designer Anita Kealey, amulti-disciplined designer recognized for her innovative use of sustainable textiles in fashion design and contract interior design. Her collections are influenced by her love of mid-century architecture and clean lines.
This will be the fifth year Ms. Kealey is showing in Portland for FashioNXT. She will be presenting her LENZANITA Couture line on Friday, October 10, joining an exceptional line-up of designers. A sneak trunk preview of her runway pieces will be at FlairWalk on Thursday, October 9th from 1:30pm to 3:30pm, 1023 N.W. 11th Avenue in the Portland’s Pearl District.
Ms. Kealey’s passion for the environment and awareness of sustainability is apparent in her eco-sustainable one of kind collections. Her attention to detail and precision in her tailoring is mixed with a unique use of leather making an indigenous statement with her Dakota heritage.
She is currently collaborating with Kravet textiles and Diane Von Furstenberg Collections for an upcoming show with the form of interior design and the fashion of the runway in late October.
A fashion historian and preservationist, Ms. Kealey serves as the creative director for the fashion and interior design studies of the Institute of Design & Technology of SD which is located in the heart of the active bike-friendly, progressive, and green conscious small city of Sioux Falls, SD.
